New Ingame Event "The Tarkov Mystery"

Today's update is timed with a new in-game event.
As always, it begins with a task, this time the first task is given by the Skier.
You will find a list of quests, their descriptions, tasks and rewards in this article, information will be added and updated.

Tasks:

1. Skier - "The Tarkov Mystery"
You need to find a special flash drive. According to some information from players, you can find them anywhere where regular flash drives can spawn (drawers, safes, jackets, Scavs). Take the flash drive out of the raid and hand it to the Skier. Spoiler - you will need few of those, so try to save any extra flashdrives you find.


2. Skier - "Break Through".
As it turned out, decrypting the content of a flash drive is not so easy and the help of a Mechanic is needed.


3. Mechanic - "Decryption Hurdles - Part 1"
To decrypt the flash drive Mechanic will ask you to bring 5 CPUs, 5 RAM sticks and 3 SSD drives. UPD. 3 CPUs, 3 RAMs and 2 SSDs. CPUs and RAM can be found in computers all around Tarkov. SSDs in computers or drawers.


4. Mechanic - "Decryption Hurdles - Part 2"
We continue to help the Mechanic with decypher shenanigans. In this task it is necessary to stash in the radar building (the "Dome") on the Reserve. Stash place is right under the dome-roof near the boxes. A gyrotachometer can be purchased at a flea market. You also need to use while standing on the roof of a building.


5. Mechanic - "Decryption Hurdles - Part 3"
Someone caught up on the Mechanic's assistants and shot them, your task is to start a clean-up and eliminate 10 Scavs on Customs.
After completion of this task you will unlock a new quest flash drive craft on your intelligence center which is free and takes 15 minutes to finish. But a new flash drive is needed because Mechanic's men were killed and a flash drive is lost!

6. Peacekeeper - "U Turn"
As you may have noticed, the Peacekeeper also has a task for you. To betray the Skier and give the flash drive to him. There are no penalties for failure in tasks, so the choice is yours, but it will affect your quests in step 8 and further. Both quests give you some money and +0.03 rep for the quest giver.

7. Skier/Peacekeeper - "Take Two"/"Getting to the Core"
Quest will be given by the trader who you handed over the flash drive to.
The files on the flash drive are also encrypted, so the Skier/Peacekeeper will give you a new craft in the intelligence center in the hideout. 10 minutes to decrypt, you'll have to wait again! But there is a trick, you need a new flash drive. And not just one, but many. Each craft unlocks two symbols in the craft of intelligence center, so you can see how many you will need. Sometimes a craft process may fail so time and flash drive will be wasted. Flash drives can be FiR or bought from flea.

8a. Skier - "Photo Hunt"
Skier wants you to install 4 Wi-Fi cameras in TerraGroup HQ on Ground Zero.
Four places:
1) At the parking doorway
2) At the barricaded stairway
3) At the office #3 bookshelf
4) At the office #4 corner ( is required, you can find it in a corpse on 1st floor near elevators)



8b. Peacekeeper - "No Peeking!"
Peacekeeper wants you to eliminate 5 PMCs in TerraGroup HQ on Ground Zero, lorewise to disrupt Skier's plans. Supposed killing zone is displayed below.

9. Mechanic - "Forgotten Acquaintance"
Mechanic asks us to find the forgotten USEC room at the Lighthouse. It is located in the garages of the lower large cottage and will require a “USEC Cottage Room Key” (see picture below). Open it, go in, and then safely extract. You can also get inside via window through the lower roof.


10. Mechanic - "Seeking Information"
Once again you are asked to visit the same room, but now you need to find a HDD.

11.a Skier - "Obstacle Course"
Unlocks if you gave the flash drive to Skier. Requires you to eliminate 1,000,000 Peacekeeper's men on Shoreline. Presumably Scavs count towards objective.

Unlocks if you gave the flash drive to Peacekeeper. Requires you to eliminate 1,000,000 Skier's men on Customs. Presumably Scavs count towards objective.

It appears that Skier won the battle. To complete quests above you need to kill one Scav only now.

12a. Skier - "Radio Club"
Skier wants you to eliminate 8 Scavs on Woods and stash three radio relays at the mountain (see below). You will be given three of those but if somehow you lost them - craft is available at the crafting station.


12b. Peacekeeper - "A New Hope"
Peacekeeper wants you to find laptop at the smuggler's base on Shoreline (NE from resort). It has dynamic spawn and can be tricky to find.


13. Peacekeeper - "Liaison"
Peacekeeper can't decypher info on the laptop, but doesn't want to give it to Mechanic again. So instead he asks you to visit Customs, specifically weather station on top of the hill near Reshala's gas station spawn and stash in a shed. Then use a signal flare and extract.


14. Fence - "Ceasefire. Information"
Not everyone is happy with Skier's and PK's shenanigans, so Fence wants to stop this. He wants you to find a place and a letter from them in the village on Shoreline. Letter has dynamic spawn.


15a. Fence - "Ceasefire. Part 2"
Fence wants to stop the union of Skier and PK. Your objective is to eliminate 5 enemies on Customs using M4A1 with UNTAR armor and helmet equipped.

15b. Fence - "Ceasefire. Part 2"
Fence wants to stop the union of Skier and PK. Your objective is to eliminate 5 enemies on Shoreline using AK-74N with NPP KlASS Kora-Kulon armor and 6B47 helmet equipped.

16. Fence - "Trade Embargo"
Next part of the plan is to stop Skier and PM economically. You need to sell 15 barter items to Fence. Important - not to trade any items with Skier or Peacekeeper while task is active!

17. Fence - "Redemption". Check Bonus info below before finishing the quest!
Last task for this event. Your job is to do get the loyalty of betrayed traded back (task for this opens with the Fence one) and hand over the phone to Fence.

17a. Skier - "Atonement"
Skier wants you to visit the dormitry's balcony on Customs and eliminate 5 Scavs on location.

17b. Peacekeeper - "Atonement"
Peacekeeper wants you to visit the east wing of Shoreline's resort buildng and eliminate 5 Scavs on location.

Bonus (True ending): Lightkeeper - "Ding-Ding-Ding"
You can visit Lightkeeper during part 17 of this event and get a special quest from him to recieve the Secret ending! He will ask you to sell items to Skier/PK and hand over phone to him.

Rewards for this event are: Sacred Amulet, which makes Cultists neutral for you, Mr.Kerman's Cat gallogram to showcase in your Hideout and an achievment, depending on which side you did the questline (Skier, Peacekeeper or Lightkeeper).
